Positioned at the origin of the Khovd River, which meanders 500km to Khovd aimag's Khar Us Nuur, these lakes are linked by a 10km river, providing an excellent opportunity for fishing enthusiasts to catch sizable fish. Achit, another freshwater lake located approximately 80 km east of Olgiy city, is around 10m deep and serves as the source for both small and large rivers. Notably, the Usan Khooloi river begins its journey from Achit and eventually merges into the Khovd river.
These pristine lakes are inhabited by a variety of fish species, including Altai bigmouth Osman and Mongolian grayling. The area surrounding Devel island, nestled between the Usan Khooloi and Khovd river, is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife such as pheasants, wild boars, beavers, and wild sea-buckthorns. This region has been placed under special protection to safeguard its unique flora and fauna.

Transport: 4x4 drive car with an experienced driver, local herdsmen with horses, and Bactrian camels for tour supplies.
